Short Story 1: Madoka
Disclaimer: Puella Magi Madoka Magica does NOT belong to me, nor does the reader either. I'm just writing this for fun.
You blinked, in the middle of picking up your school bag from your locker, before immediately stopping what you were doing. Your hair whipped your face as you turned to face the slightly shorter, pink haired girl, smiling softly. "What is it Madoka?"
The girl only fidgeted, looking almost unsure of what to say. "Say that- just hypothetically..."
Madoka fidgeted again, breathing in and out slowly. "Say that someone offered to magically grant you any wish in the world. What would you do?"
Your answer was immediate. "I wouldn't wish for anything." Your underclassman friend only blinked in surprise, tilting her head innocently in confusion. You sighed, closing your locker and shouldering your school bag. There it was, that adorable questioning look that Sayaka would love to fawn over if she was here.
"Well...a wish is known as a miracle, right?" The pinkette only nodded. "Wishes, to me, are miracles that are almost impossible to grant in this kind of reality. Not to mention I don't know this 'someone' that you're mentioning, Madoka." The girl only flinched. You pretended not to notice. "I wouldn't wish for anything because it would mean I would be weak: weak enough to succumb to impossible dreams that probably can't come true in the world we live in."
"Oh..." Madoka stared at her shoes.
"It's not a bad thing, dork." You ruffled her bright rose-pink locks teasingly, as the girl looked up at you in surprise. "I just don't want to give my deepest wishes to someone I barely know, not to mention if I wished for something so badly, I would actually try to work hard to get it to come true myself, not just let some stranger do it for me." Madoka only blinked up at you, rosy eyes staring into your [eye-color] ones. You just grinned pearly whites at your kohai.
"Just don't get yourself into that sort of trouble, okay?" The girl blinked, before looking down for a moment. Madoka then peered up at you with a smile.
